You can travel to Churchill by plane or by train. The northern community is so remote that there are no roads to Churchill, which means you can't take the bus or drive yourself. VIA Rail runs trains from Winnipeg to Churchill twice a week, and though the journey takes two days, it is worth it for the magnificent views of the Great White North from the train's panoramic dome car.

The Cobourg VIA Station serves VIA Rail's Toronto to Ottawa and Toronto to Montreal lines. In 2011, the existing station was expanded to include a new platform, a modernized skywalk, and additional amenities, including accessible entrances and bicycle facilities. There is plentiful seating and restrooms inside. There is currently no local transit service to the station, but parking is available for those driving themselves. Several fast-food restaurants are just a short walk away on Division Street for a meal before your train ride.
