The principal airport in the city, the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport, sits 8 miles northwest of the Savannah Historic District, and it also provides quick access to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.

Amtrak’s Silver Service stops at this station, and Savannah is the final destination of the Amtrak Palmetto from New York City. The waiting room inside features restrooms, vending machines, and even murals depicting Savannah’s history. Though the station is a few miles outside of downtown Savannah, this means that there is plenty of available parking, both short-term and long-term.
