Vamoose Cancellation Policy

Vamoose bus tickets are non-refundable and cannot be cancelled. However, as long as it is more than 2 hours before the bus is scheduled to depart, you can place your reservation “on hold” and receive a travel credit for a future trip. To place your reservation on hold, go to Vamoose’s website to look up your reservation, and you will have the option of rescheduling your trip or placing the trip on hold. Vamoose will email you a new “on hold” ticket which can be reactivated for another trip with Vamoose up to a year after your original purchase date.

You can easily reschedule your Vamoose ticket following that same process, and luckily there is no fee for changing your ticket. Make sure to submit any changes online at least 2 hours before your original bus trip’s departure time.

Wanderu also offers an affordable trip protection option by Allianz Global Assistance that you can purchase when booking your tickets. In addition to 24-hour assistance during your trip and other benefits, trip protection can help you get your money back in case you need to cancel or change your Vamoose booking. You may file a claim to be reimbursed if you do not travel on your bus trip due to covered reasons such as extreme weather, illness, or required work shifts.

Vamoose Bus Guide & FAQs

Do Vamoose buses have WiFi?

Yes, Vamoose offers WiFi on their buses. Although most trips with Vamoose will have WiFi as advertised, some buses might not come equipped with WiFi and onboard WiFi can lose its connection in rural areas. We recommend you bring a book or download a movie just to play it safe. Vamoose WiFi is generally best used for surfing the web, checking emails and chatting with friends; you shouldn’t count on the WiFi to binge watch your favorite show.

Are there power outlets or USB plugs on the bus?

Yes, there are power outlets onboard Vamoose buses. You can generally find one or two sockets per row of seats, so be a good traveller and check if your seat neighbor might want to charge up their devices as well. With the onboard power outlets, you can charge both a computer and USB devices with a USB power adapter that typically comes with most phones and tablets.

Since Vamoose might sometimes use replacement bus vehicles, not all trips are guaranteed to have power points. We recommend to bring a power bank to charge your phone for all trips over 2 hours, just in case.

What is Vamoose's schedule?

On a typical day, Vamoose has 13 scheduled bus trips in total. However, the exact departure and arrival times vary depending on the day and route. The best way to find the exact schedule for your trip is to use the search tool on this page.

Can you pick up will call tickets at the station?

No, Vamoose does not offer will call tickets. You should purchase your tickets online and make sure you have everything you need to board before you arrive at the station.

Do you need an ID to get on the bus?

Yes, Vamoose requires you to present an ID to an agent to be allowed to board the bus. Make sure you have identification issued by a government agency that meets the carrier’s requirements. Alternative IDs, such as a college ID, won’t work.

What are Vamoose’s COVID-19 policies?

Visit our COVID-19 Travel Guide to view the most up-to-date information about Vamoose’s cleaning protocols and adjusted ticket change policies during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Are there bathrooms on Vamoose buses?

Yes, there are bathrooms on Vamoose buses. The bathrooms are pretty basic and include a toilet, toilet paper and hand sanitizer. Most bathrooms don’t have running water. As you will be using a bathroom on a moving vehicle, please use caution and hold on to a rail at all times.

Are meals or beverages available?

Vamoose does not offer meals or beverages onboard. We recommend you bring a drink and some snacks for your trip. We also suggest packing a reusable water bottle with you to reduce your impact on the environment. However, note that most buses do not allow you to bring your own alcoholic drinks. Your thirst is a priority for Vamoose, and to make sure you are never parched onboard their bus, they offer free bottles of water. Just remember - the only right thing to do at the end of your trip is to make sure every water bottle is placed in a recycle bin to reduce your impact on the environment.

Do you have to print your Vamoose ticket?

Vamoose does not require a printed ticket to board the bus. Instead, an eTicket is sent to you by email when you make your reservation. You can use your smartphone to show this eTicket to the ticketing agent as you board.

Does Vamoose offer any premium features like extra legroom or movies?

Vamoose goes the extra distance to deliver premium features to its customers.

Movies are provided during the bus trip to keep you entertained. Don’t forget to bring your favorite pair of headphones, as headphones are not always included on the bus. We recommend in-ear noise cancelling headphones due to their small size.

Do you find yourself squished in a regular seat or just love having extra room to sprawl out? Well you’re in luck as Vamoose offers extra legroom seating. Since there is no standard of what extra legroom is, the extra space you get may vary between bus lines, but getting extra is always good.
