Amtrak's Jacksonville train station is located in the northern outskirts of the city, and most bus service in and out of Jacksonville conveniently departs from the JTA Intercity Bus Terminal in the heart of downtown.
Just west of I-95, Hollywood Station is a station serving both Amtrak and Tri-Rail train routes. The station originally opened in 1928 and was designed in a Mediterranean Revival Style. You'll find a ticket office, waiting room, and baggage room, plus free parking and additional facilities for Tri-Rail commuters. The station is located about halfway between Miami and Fort Lauderdale. However, it is about four miles east of the beach, so you might catch a transit bus or ride share to reach any beachfront accommodations. The station is near Hollywood Mall, so you can quickly grab a Starbucks, a McDonald's meal, or swing through Target before your train departs.
