Though much less well-known than its counterpart in California, Hollywood, FL, is a city worthy of exploring as well. The city's star attraction is its spectacular beach, which features soft white sand and turquoise water just begging to be photographed. The beach itself features many different shops and cafes, so don't hesitate to take a step back and enjoy some downtime! The best way to do so is by strolling the 2.5-mile-long boardwalk, which offers unobstructed views of the great ocean. If you are not interested in the beach, head to the Anne Kolb Nature Center, a mangrove wetland with unique flora and fauna.
Due to its proximity to the Atlantic, Hollywood is the perfect spot to enjoy the freshest seafood around. For Mediterranean-inspired dishes, check out A La Turca Mediterranean Cuisine. However, if you want classic American eats, you should head toward Hollywood Grill.
Bus and train routes connect Hollywood to Miami, West Palm Beach, Orlando, and destinations beyond Florida via transfers. Air travel is provided by the nearby Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International Airport, but you could also travel from Fort Lauderdale to the larger Miami Airport for more varied flight options.
Orlando is the Theme Park Capital of the World, thanks to the high density of thrilling parks like Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, SeaWorld, LEGOLAND, Gatorland and more. It's no wonder we rated Orlando the #1 travel destination for families. Family vacation or not, if the highlight of your trip is picking out a wand at Ollivanders in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter or finally meeting Elsa in the Magic Kingdom, you know we won't judge.
Winter Park and Thornton Park – not more theme parks, we promise – are trendy neighborhoods where you can experience some of Orlando's world-class shopping, dining, and craft beer. You can also immerse yourself in some of Florida's unique wildlife at Orlando Wetlands Park, or the more central Lake Eola Park downtown. Orlando enjoys an average of 233 days of sunshine a year, so even though it's one of the cheapest cities to visit over Spring Break, you'll soak up that sweet, sweet sun almost any time of year.
Craving the ocean? Head a few hours outside Orlando for some of Florida's gorgeous beaches like New Smyrna Beach, Cocoa Beach, and the Canaveral National Seashore. Two large airports, as well as many bus and train companies with service in the area, mean that traveling from Orlando to other sunny Florida destinations and beyond is a breeze.

The station is located about halfway between Miami and Fort Lauderdale. However, it is about four miles east of the beach, so you might catch a transit bus or ride share to reach any beachfront accommodations. The station is near Hollywood Mall, so you can quickly grab a Starbucks, a McDonald's meal, or swing through Target before your train departs.
