Pros: The equipment and the rails were smooth and the trip was quiet. The car was not crowded. The arrival in Harper's Ferry after dark with the houses on the hill lit up was lovely. Cons: The stairs to the upper level are very narrow, but manageable. For those with hearing impairments, the recorded announcements are difficult to hear and understand. I would have appreciated some help getting on and off by staff rather than a very nice passenger. I needed the step getting off in Martinsburg but it wasn't there. I was not told which direction the snack car was. For the older passengers, help should be offered putting the luggage in the rack. Tips: This was my first train trip in several years. I have always liked travel by rail, so I enjoyed the trip.
