Amtrak Southwest Chief

Pros: The seats are comfortable and recline. There's plenty of space and the car wasn't over crowded. Cons: I couldn't take the amtrak from Wichita falls, TX to Las Vegas, NM and I could take a bus to Las Vegas, NM at all. I had to wait over 8 hours for the train after the greyhound portion of my trip was done. It would be great if travel times could coordinate a little better or if Amtrak could expand their stops to include north Texas going westbound. Also, I am disabled and climbing stairs is difficult, but I don't see an option when scheduling my trip to ask for a seat in the lower level.

Amtrak Southwest Chief

This was a new train journey for us (always flew before) and from this train experience it will be our future choice for travel. We are an elderly couple and had help from crew if needed. Our conductor was exceptional!!! Thank you Amtrak!

Amtrak Southwest Chief

It was fun to experience train travel (especially being in the West). It was also great to see the countryside from a different perspective than the freeway.
