Pros: This was my first ride on a train. The trip was more than I expected. The ride was very smooth and comfortable. Rest assured that I will recommend a train ride whenever we're in Seattle. Cons: I did not see or know of anything that needed improvement. Tips: I would strongly suggest that traveling by train is a safe and comfortable way to travel.

Amtrak Cascades

Pros: When the airlines cancel all flights, and you can’t get home because of weather issues, it is a great thing that the trains are still running and the cost to ride is very affordable. It doesn’t even matter that the trains were running late and going slow; the train got my family home, when the airlines could not. The accommodations were exceptional as they dealt with snow, ice, and debris on the tracks due to severe winter weather conditions. Cons: Not sure. Tips: Take the train as an alternative to flying. It is more affordable and reliable in extreme weather events.
