Pros: I like that I don’t need to worry about be driving long distances to go visit my family and I can be relaxed on my way feeling safe and comfortable. Cons: You could improve the service of the waiting of the train by sending an email or message to the people who will be on board telling if any delay. Tips: Be on time.

Pros: I loved how clean and well kept the train i was, I was not expecting the trip to be as pleasurable as it was! Cons: I would like to see free Wifi added in the future. With most of these trips being upwards of 4 hours, it would be nice to do work, homework, read, update family members when in the middle of nowhere, etc. Other than that, everything was perfect! Tips: Bring a water!:) There are cups and ice, but the water is to be purchased. Bring your books/devices and enjoy the ride!

Built in 1947, the Amtrak Station in Austin is one of the stops along Amtrak’s Texas Eagle route which runs from Chicago to San Antonio and connects to Los Angeles. The station, located at 250 N Lamar Boulevard, sits near the banks of the Colorado River in downtown Austin. With just a quick walk from the station, you can reach the beautiful Ladybird Lake-Lamar Beach Park, stylish shopping and dining in the 2nd Street District, and even the state capital complex. Same-day and overnight parking is available at the station, as well as restrooms and vending machines inside.
