Pros: Enjoyed the trip and the service. One thing gave me a use upon arrival to Charlotteville. As I was exiting the conductor asked if Charlottesville was my stop. I thought it a little odd since he had checked the ticket on my seat and had not confirmed destination of other travelers. I replied yes and then he said. "I thought it was Lynchburg" As a Black woman hearing the mention of LYNCHburg from a white male was somewhat disturbing although it could have been an inadvertent comment. Cons: See above. Tips: None.

Pros: Relaxing. Cons: No booster steps at Alexandria platform. If it weren’t for traveling companions’ help - no way could I have gotten on the train. Asked attendant where necessary steps were - he said a previous train took them. Major safety violation. Too high of a LEAP to get on train.
