Amtrak Empire Builder

Pros: Not having to drive seven hours + food/rest stops! Cons: Temperature control in cars is not even. Our seats were near a noisy vent. Tips: Pack several beverages and some favorite snacks. The cafe car service is very limited and pricey ($7.50 for a hot dog on a bun !).
