Brockville, also known as the City of the 1000 Islands, is one of the oldest railway hubs in Canada. In 2009, VIA Rail built a new terminal to replace the historic 1872 Brockville station. The new station is located on Perth Street near downtown Brockville. Since the sweeping renovation, the station has been running trains from Toronto to Ottawa and Montreal.
