About ebus

ebus is the sister company of Red Arrow, owned by Pacific Western Transportation. After launching in the province of Alberta in 2011, ebus then expanded into British Columbia in 2018. Their routes offer passengers a comfortable and budget-friendly way to travel in western Canada. Of the 31 cities that ebus serves, Edmonton, Red Deer, Calgary, Fort McMurray, and Vancouver are several of the popular destinations.

Some of ebus' 813 routes can last five or six hours to traverse Canada's large provinces. This means staying comfortable onboard is a high priority. To ensure the best experience possible, ebus coaches are fitted with Wi-Fi for connectivity on the go and feature power outlets, so you don't miss a single viral video. Other amenities onboard include restrooms and more legroom than some other operators in the region.

Wanderu has been proud to be an ebus partner since 2016. The cheapest deals on ebus tickets are available right here on Wanderu, where you can search, compare, and book bus tickets all in one place.

Pros: The bus driver was very nice and informative. The weather was bad so he made everyone wear their seat belts and store their bags in the over head compartments. Cons: The holders on the seats to store items were too small.

Cons: The pick up location was outdoors, we were told to be 15 minutes early, bus was 3 minutes late, we spent over 20 minutes outside in -32 not counting windchill with no shelter, then the bus is not very warm so you don’t warm up till maybe red deer. ebus Bus Guide & FAQs

Do ebus buses have WiFi?

Yes, ebus offers WiFi on their buses. Although most trips with ebus will have WiFi as advertised, some buses might not come equipped with WiFi and onboard WiFi can lose its connection in rural areas. We recommend you bring a book or download a movie just to play it safe. ebus WiFi is generally best used for surfing the web, checking emails and chatting with friends; you shouldn’t count on the WiFi to binge watch your favorite show.

Are there power outlets or USB plugs on the bus?

Yes, there are power outlets onboard ebus buses. You can generally find one or two sockets per row of seats, so be a good traveller and check if your seat neighbor might want to charge up their devices as well. With the onboard power outlets, you can charge both a computer and USB devices with a USB power adapter that typically comes with most phones and tablets.

Since ebus might sometimes use replacement bus vehicles, not all trips are guaranteed to have power points. We recommend to bring a power bank to charge your phone for all trips over 2 hours, just in case.

What is ebus's schedule?

On a typical day, ebus has 1426 scheduled bus trips in total. However, the exact departure and arrival times vary depending on the day and route. The best way to find the exact schedule for your trip is to use the search tool on this page.

Can you pick up will call tickets at the station?

No, ebus does not offer will call tickets. You should purchase your tickets online and make sure you have everything you need to board before you arrive at the station.

Do you need an ID to get on the bus?

Yes, ebus requires you to present an ID to an agent to be allowed to board the bus. Make sure you have identification issued by a government agency that meets the carrier’s requirements. Alternative IDs, such as a college ID, won’t work.

What are ebus’s COVID-19 policies?

Visit our COVID-19 Travel Guide to view the most up-to-date information about ebus’s cleaning protocols and adjusted ticket change policies during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Are there bathrooms on ebus buses?

Yes, there are bathrooms on ebus buses. The bathrooms are pretty basic and include a toilet, toilet paper and hand sanitizer. Most bathrooms don’t have running water. As you will be using a bathroom on a moving vehicle, please use caution and hold on to a rail at all times.

Are meals or beverages available?

ebus does not offer meals or beverages onboard. We recommend you bring a drink and some snacks for your trip. We also suggest packing a reusable water bottle with you to reduce your impact on the environment. However, note that most buses do not allow you to bring your own alcoholic drinks.

Does ebus offer any premium features like extra legroom or movies?

ebus goes the extra distance to deliver premium features to its customers.

Do you find yourself squished in a regular seat or just love having extra room to sprawl out? Well you’re in luck as ebus offers extra legroom seating. Since there is no standard of what extra legroom is, the extra space you get may vary between bus lines, but getting extra is always good.
