Amtrak Pacific Surfliner

Pros: Always kept informed of stops. Very personable staff! Especially the gal in the little canteen.!! Cons: No improvements needed that I can tell Tips: Be prepared to just relax and enjoy the ride

Amtrak Pacific Surfliner

Pros: I travelled in a roomette on the way South and Business Class on the return North. Both were comfortable and spacious enough. Dinner in the dining car on way south was excellent and included with my ticket along with a glass of wine. Very enjoyable experience and wonderful views along the Santa Barbara coastline. Staff was very helpful with my bags which I appreciated. Tips: Make sure you check the icons when purchasing your ticket to see if there is a combination of train and bus on your ticket. Some fellow travelers were disappointed they had to transfer to a bus for the remainder of their trip ( though I did not).
