This station is the origin point for the Amtrak Carolinian to New York City and the Amtrak Piedmont to Raleigh. The Amtrak Crescent also stops in Charlotte on its route from New York City to New Orleans. Just west of I-95, Hollywood Station is a station serving both Amtrak and Tri-Rail train routes. The station originally opened in 1928 and was designed in a Mediterranean Revival Style. You'll find a ticket office, waiting room, and baggage room, plus free parking and additional facilities for Tri-Rail commuters. The station is located about halfway between Miami and Fort Lauderdale. However, it is about four miles east of the beach, so you might catch a transit bus or ride share to reach any beachfront accommodations.
