Amtrak Cascades
Pros: The staff were nice and the train didn't crash. It's a better value than driving my car up to Seattle and paying for parking for a whole night, for sure. Cons: The train was pretty dirty. I assume that's because it was near the tail end of the journey north, but there should probably someone there to clean up between stops. Tips: Grab a snack for the trip and spring for the business class upgrade. The economy seats are kinda uncomfortable.

Amtrak Cascades
Pros: My parents just moved to Lacey, Wa. Since I don't drive and live in downtown Seattle I was worried I'd never see them. I was wrong, the train ride is inexpensive, extremely comfortable, and there are many trip times daily. Taking Amtrak was better than driving. I highly recommend it.
