Amtrak Empire Service

Pros: The train was great. Cons: The Yonkers Station leaves a lot to be desired. It was cold, no restrooms and no place to sit. I understand the train station is not owned by Amtrak and I don't fault them for that. I would probably look for a different place to catch the train in the future or I would get there closer to the right time. The people who worked at the station were helpful when I had a question. Tips: It's much better to take the train from Penn Station if possible.

Amtrak Empire Service

Pros: Quiet. Cons: If Amtrak would Be on time. Tips: Arrive early and use the bathroom before you come bc Yonkers Getty Square does not have one that is operable. I had to walk to a local restaurant.

Amtrak Empire Service

Pros: The commute was as I expected it-- good seat, on time. The attitude and service was better than expected. - warm and friendly. Cons: Although I think I understand the reasons, it would be good to have at least one person on duty at the Yonkers station as well as somewhere to sit in the station. It gets cold up on the platform in the wind. Only other negative (minor) was that the exterior windows on train were too dirty to take pictures of the wonderful views of the Hudson River. Maybe next time...
