Pros: The ride from Spokane wa started earlie am got the sunrise in white fish mt amazing views through glacier national park very nice viewing car lots of quick stops after that arrived in Chicago 45mins early I was able to rest and overall felt good and had a nice meal on the layover in Chicago After Chicago things were alittle more crowded again train left later in the evening We did run into freight traffic which put us behind I expected this any way but we were only a little over an hour late into Boston no big deal Happy overall great trip. Cons: Snacks and a pillow make the ride more comfortable definitely bring a camera Smokers have very limited breaks trains are on schedules be prepared I traveled coach coming from the west my coach had a changing lounge after Chicago no such lounge however the bathroom was a bit bigger I did freshen up a little.

Main departure station: Spokane International Airport

The Spokane Intermodal Center on 1st Ave is Spokane’s primary hub for bus and train service. The city’s original train station was built at this location in 1891, and the red brick building has since been remodeled and expanded to include intercity bus service, too. Today, passengers can catch the iconic Amtrak Empire Builder train along its route from Chicago to Seattle or Portland, or hop on a FlixBus US or Jefferson Lines bus heading to destinations throughout the Northwest. The station is just north of I-90 and centrally located in Spokane, within a mile of the sprawling Riverfront Park, the Spokane Convention Center, and Gonzaga University.
