An imposing columned entry opens to an airy station with indoor seating, vending machines, and restrooms. Three Amtrak trains serve the iconic station: the Crescent from New Orleans to New York, the Piedmont from Charlotte to Raleigh, and the Carolinian from Charlotte to New York. The station serves two Amtrak lines, namely Palmetto, which travels between New York and Savannah, and Silver Service, which travels from New York to Miami. Within the station, you can find a ticket office, waiting area, information desk, and a Subway restaurant, and there is also parking directly behind the station. Outside the station, there are no amenities in the immediate vicinity, but multiple restaurants and local hotels are a short distance away.
