September 25, 2023- Visiting friends

Amtrak Northeast Regional

Pros: Nice views of the countryside when I could see beyond the trees growing immediately to the sides of the tracks. Cons: Better communication between construction along the line and the scheduling of the trains. Pillows provided for the passengers in business class. Roommets available for this train. More electronic signs showing which track your train is on.

March 19, 2023- Solo travel

Amtrak Northeast Regional

Pros: Wi-Fi was adequate and there was power available for every seat. Cons: Announcements for each stop could have been improved. Perhaps some sort of visual notification would help. I have difficulty hearing sometimes with the rail noise. From Alex to Roanoke, announcements were good but from Roanoke to Alex was poor. Tips: Wi-Fi was a bit slow at times but was still available.
